Welcome to the Electrocon International Inc. forums. These forums are intended for use as a platform for exchange of ideas and discussion about CAPE, and also power system protection in general.
To read the posts in the forum, and to participate, you will need to register by clicking on the "Register" link at the top of the page. Very minimal information is asked of you:
- Choose a user name. You will be identified on the forum by this name.
- Choose a password. The username and password combination will allow you to log in to the forums.
- Enter your email address.
- We also ask you for your real name and the company you work for. This information is for our recordkeeping only.
- Finally, to defeat automatic registrations by spam bots, we ask you to enter a "captcha" code that appears in the registration form.
Once you click the "Submit" button on the registration page, an email will be sent to the site administrator who will activate your account. You will also receive an email that will contain your chosen user name and password. Please save this email for your records.
You can log in to the forums after your account has been activated (usually within 12 hours). You will also receive a second email saying that your account has been activated. If you do not receive this email, and still cannot log in to the forums after 12 hours after you sign up, please contact the site administrator by using the "Contact" link in the upper part of the forum page.
We hope that you will register and participate in these forums actively. We also hope that these forums will foster greater interaction between CAPE users. To get the ball rolling, we have posted some information on links to CAPE technical papers, and one or two other topics that might be of interest. Please feel free to ask questions about these topics, or any other CAPE related issue.
While Electrocon's primary support channel is still via email and telephone, these forums will enable you to find out how other engineers have used CAPE, or have solved problems with CAPE.
